Laura Lazaraton

I have been a lifeguard instructor for 35 years and a WSI instructor for 40 years, and became an instructor trainer for both 25 years ago. I am also an AEA certified water aerobics instructor. When I'm not around a pool, I can usually be found walking around my neighborhood, volunteering at a local cat shelter or reading a good book.

I have been an American Red Cross lifeguard and lifeguard instructor/ trainer for over 45 years. I am also a retired PE teacher after 35 years with Middletown City Schools. I am currently in my 33rd year as an age group with Countryside YMCA Torpedoes Swim Team.

CHAD HALE

My name is Chad Hale and I have been with teaching for CATS since 2014. I’m a high school Special Education Teacher in the Cincinnati area. Besides teaching I’ve spent most of my time coaching high school sports and volunteering with the Special Olympics.

MIKLE BROWN

Over 38 Years experience as an Instructor for the American Red Cross. Teaching the learn to swim programs, CPR / First Aid for the Professional Rescuer and Lifeguarding. Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, certified as a Marine Combat Instructor of Water Survival Training.
Retired Law Enforcement Sergeant with Cincinnati Police Department. Bachelor of Liberal Arts Degree from Xavier University.

CEDRIC CAMPBELL

I have been a lifeguard instructor for 13 years under the American Red Cross and it has been 10 years now with Cincinnati Aquatic Training Services. I started my lifeguarding career in 1997 with Cincinnati Recreation Aquatics, head guard manager WSI at Madisonville pool, and transferred to Pleasant Ridge Pool. I currently work the summer at Pleasant Ridge. I graduated from Central State and am employed at Stepping Stones. I love teaching and I love my job. I thank God for the ability and availability for the service we provide professional rescuers and much more.

MARY TAPPEL

Have been active in the swimming community my whole life. I was assistant manager of the pool at Tri-Health for 8 years training the lifeguards and keeping the pool in great condition. After that I started teaching with CATS for about 6 years helping train the new lifeguards. It is very rewarding to work with the new generation of lifeguards.

ANNE CAUDILL

I've been an American Red Cross certified lifeguard since 2004 and began teaching swim lessons as a water safety instructor in 2005. My experience working in aquatics along with kids led to my career as a teacher beginning in 2011. Upon entering the teaching profession, I shifted from working as a member of the aquatic staff, to training the staff. I began as a lifeguard instructor with C.A.T.S. in 2015. The importance of education and safety around the water is imperative to the well-being of our community. I want to continue to offer the same aquatic programs and experiences for my children that I had access to growing up.
