This class is for students who want to become an American Red Cross certified water safety instructor. This class will prepare an individual to teach swimming lessons and water safety at any aquatic facility. Students will learn the skills necessary to organize and teach the American Red Cross swim lesson programs. The Learn to Swim program includes: Level 1 through Level 6 swim lessons, preschool aquatics classes and parent and child aquatics classes. Students must turn 16 years old by the last date of the instructor class. Students must also pass the prescreening requirements to participate in this class. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Water Safety Instructor, which is valid for 2 years from the course completion date.

An Informed Consent and Release of Liability form must be completed and signed in order to participate in any C.A.T.S. class or program.
