Online - Only Course Information

The Safety Training for Swim Coaches Online Content Only course is available for those with a current Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED or Shallow Water Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate.

Includes instructional content, as well as an exam.

Successful course participants must present the online course certificate and their current Lifeguarding or Shallow Water Lifeguarding certificate to their national governing body to help meet their Coaches Safety Education requirement.

IN-WATER SKILLS SESSION INFORMATION

Please download, print and complete the Informed Consent and Release of Liability Form.  Each participant must bring a completed and signed form to the first session of class in order to participate in any Cincinnati Aquatic Training Services (C.A.T.S.) class or program.

Safety Training for Swim Coaches  - $50


This course helps to fulfill the Coaches Safety Education requirement for USA Swimming and Y USA with a 2 year certification.


Prerequisites

Must be at least 15 years of age by the end of the course and must be comfortable in chest-deep water.


The Safety Training for Swim Coaches course offers up-to-date content on safe sport policies, emergency planning and first aid including:

  • Maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for swimmers
  • Preventing accidents and emergencies
  • Responding to ill or injured swimmers in water or on land
